This is how it began 90 plus years ago, with only 5 workers. Today, with about 25000 workers across 5 states with 6 brands and a billion beedis a month, the beedi business is one of the prime businesses of Sarda group. The Beedi business is run as a social enterprise with every worker, taken care of with health and life insurances. Children of the worker are encouraged to study and given scholarships for technical and other education.
